Tighten Up That Loose Skin

Loose skin — who wants some? No one! You can do something about it with our laser technology at Creative Image Laser Solutions. Our lasers deliver both infrared and radiofrequency energy to initiate skin tightening responses in the body. The procedures are safe for all body areas.

Why use lasers?

Loose skin can be an issue on the upper arms, cheeks, neck, abdomen, knees, and other areas. When a person wants to address skin looseness, they normally have to consider surgery. But many people don’t want to go that route, so they opt for laser skin tightening.

How does it work?

At Creative Image, we use both infrared and radiofrequency (RF) laser energies to effect skin tightening. We use infrared energy on all body areas, heating the lower dermis to create skin contraction. RF energy can be incorporated with infrared light or used by itself on larger body areas such as the thighs, abdomen, or flanks. Both forms of laser energy are safe for all skin types without any age restrictions.

Skin TighteningSkin is tightened in two ways. Collagen stimulation/remodeling is created through an inflammatory response of the skin to heat at the papillary dermis. The heat stimulates fibroblast activity (collagen growth) in response to the perceived wound. Increased collagen increases the skin’s density, making it more firm and taut.

Collagen shrinkage is the second tightening method. It also requires an inflammatory response to the laser energy. In this case, however, the wound response is a contraction of the reticular dermis, tightening the skin.

How many treatments are required?

Results vary between individuals due to skin laxity, age, and overall health. Most patients opt to have between two and six treatments to achieve the tightening they want. Obviously, lifestyle issues such as weight gain, smoking, excessive sun exposure, and a lack of exercise can affect your results.
